Do you understand the amount of care that comes with a chimpanzee?
Did you know that there is a slim possibility that someone will donate a $50,000 animal?

Hi, I have a chimpanzee and before you get one there are many things you need to consider. First, chimps are very expensive, they are expensive to buy and it doesn't end there. You will need to find an EXPERIENCED vet to care for it, chimps needs round the clock care, they need a BIG, STRONG, enclosure to house them in, they need lots of enrichment for their mental well-being, infants chimps need formula and baby food, lots of both, they need attention constantly and lots of love. You need to be able to take one with you where ever you go and when you can't, you need to have someone available who will baby-sit. Owning a chimp is a life-long commitment and one not to be entered into lightly. You also have to consider the size and strength of an adult and how you plan to care for them when they reach adulthood because they don't remain cute little babies forever. Owning a chimp can be a wonderful experience, but it is a HUGE responciblity and one you must be fully prepared to take on for the rest of your life. I love my little guy, but he is a lot of work, I waited until the time was right for me to have him and until I was sure that I could give him everything that he needs and will continue to need for the rest of his life. Just make sure that you do research, talk to people who have chimps and know what you are getting into first, if not, it will the chimp who will suffer. I don't mean to discourage you, I just want you to understand the huge responciblitly that is involved in sharing your life with one of these wonderful creatures and that it is a lifetime commitment.

Do any of you people know, that whole families of Chimps are killed, just to get the babys, and sell them to petstores? Chimps are an ENDANGERED spieces..Even if you do get one,im sure that the fish and game people will come and take it away..And not to mention, that zoos are already over populated with chimps, and its hard to introduce a chimp,to a group of chimps. So,it leaves the choice of death for the chimp that you say you love..LEAVE THE CHIMPS OUT IN THE WILD..Where they belong..Isnt it funny, that the same animal that we love, and looks so much like us,is the same animal that you people are killing off?..Would you let someone take away your child, with out putting up a fight?..Chimps protect and love their babies, just like we love our own.Thats why the whole chimp family is killed, just for the babies..Please dont support this.
