high, my name is shannon, i have purchased a baby celebes, I have found alot if info. on all other primates but the celebes, I would love to hear storys good and bad about some celebes, I am looking for celebes owners to share training tips, and all expereince tips to raise a loving primate!!!thank you,

Hey,

I don't have a Celebes, but I know someone that does, and she is training her monkey. The monkey is very intelligent and seems to be loving, she has been in training sessions for about a year, and is already learning how to ride horses and and other "tricks" such as back flips, kisses, and basically just to obey commands. She seems to learn quickly and be excited to get praise. She is pretty big now, and she is a healthy eater! Of coarse it depends on how much time you spend training her, but the one I know has her own bed and has run of the house. Hi, I own Zera a three year old Celebes (Sulawesi) they are different from most Monkeys, even other Macaques.
The males act different from the females, I would not start ant kind of training until the Monkey is at least 18 months.
They are wonderfull! But talk to much, very strong, and very smart.
Watch the sugar intake, they are prone to problems/

Hello I also have a celebes she is 6 1/2 years old. I have had her since she was 2 weeks old. She is very intellegent and very loving. She is quite a companion and very much a member of my family. I have done a fair amout of research and would be more that happy to share any info. email if you would like.
