Comments On: How often do squirrel monkeys spend on the ground vs. in the trees?

I haved raised squirrel monkeys for many years.
I have found that if the monkeys are relaxed and happy in the home you provide. they spend about 20%of their day on the ground in a colony life.
In the wild they don't come out the the trees very often. It could cost them thier life.
I never tried to make a pet out of them. I found them to be alot of fun to watch in a group.
I DO NOT ALOW ANYONE TO VISIT MY MONKEYS. They do not like strangers and too may people think it is wrong to own monkeys as you all know. I dont have to worry about anyone getting bit if i don't let them see them.
