i would first like to know what kind of behavior you are referring to there is some behavior that can be very life threating to your animal if your monkey is picking or pulling his or her hair out or biting at his arms or legs you have a serious problem they tend to do that when they are bored or donthave enouph stimulation if the problem is not corrected the monkey will eventually need to be put down please take the time to resolve this problem before you are not able to

if your monkey is pulling his hair out or biting himself you have a very serious problem that needs your attention if you dont change this behavior you are going to have a monkey who will eventually mutilate himself to the point that you nor a vet will be able to controll if this behavior is existing the two main reasons for this behavior is out of boredom and out of depression try to spend more time with him or her and find more stimulating toys

i am not sure what you exactly mean when you say that you monkey is abusing himself if your monkey is pulling his or her hair out or biting himself this is and should be a big concern if this behavior is not stopped you will never be able to help your monkey time is very important you may want to try more stimulating toys and spend more time with your monkey most negative behavior is due to depression and boredem please take this serious because if you dont and when this behavior gets worse which it will you will have no choice but to put your monkey to sleeptanya
