I went to the zoo recently and saw some Golden Lion Tamarins. I think they are the coolest monkeys. I really envy anybody who owns one. If I had one, we'd go everywhere together, even to places like Outback Steakhouse and Target, and to test drive new cars.

Hello, Golden Lion Tamarins are illegal...I think everywhere. The reason for that is because they are endangered. I was watching the Discovery Channel one day and some people are taking some from the wild and breeding them then turning them back into the wild.

Yes, they are BEAUTIFUL animals and I would absolutely HATE it if there is no more left. I doubt it since they started this program. Maybe some day when the Golden Lion Tamarin has got populated in the wild, maybe (I'm just saying MAYBE) they will let them be kept in captivity. I certainly hope so.

Well, I just HAD to say that!! LOL. Unfortunately, I can't own a monkey for a while since school and all. So, for now, I am just learning as much as I can. You see, when I get a monkey, I want to be here all the time instead of having to get rid of it because it's not getting enough socialization.

I want to be there for it all the time. I'm STILL trying to figure out which I want. I mean either a capuchin or a squirrel monkey. It really seems like a capuchin. Not JUST because they're cute, but because they seem like a good monkey for me.

And, a little bit about me? I'm 13 years old in central Oklahoma. I will be moving to Texas next year. Well, I won't tell things about me since this is a MONKEY message board. I am VERY excited about getting a monkey....when I do. Good luck with everyone else's monkey(s) and everyone searching for one.
